It's okay to not be okay

Melt plastic smiles with tears of sorrow

IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY

(by Anonypotamus)

Who doesn’t like forever bright smiling faces and twinkling eyes?
It’s a world of filters, appearances and lies.
It can be tough to not be smiling, to look different from those around you.
So ‘d you rather paint over your reds and blues to show a brighter, whiter hue?

Everything seems bright and new,
But is it, really?
What no one tells you about, is that no one is alien to sorrow. At multiple points, every person, including you, me and the prettiest girl in your college, feels low and depressed. It is natural and if you are feeling it right now, talk about it. You don’t have to stifle your sorrow with a filter.
Want to feel unburdened and lighter than the air? Then feel it and reveal it with words - spoken or written, music or brush. Let real tears roll out and melt all pretences.
Accept your emotions and empower yourself.
