We are the powerhouse of Sirona's social commitments, working towards reducing period poverty in India.
To educate and empower 1 million women with sustainable menstrual practices and the power of the menstrual cup.
For every Sirona & PeeBuddy product you buy, we donate ₹1 towards initiatives that improve the menstrual health of underprivileged women in India.
Pre-puberty school girls from the villages of Haryana were empowered with information on menstruation before they had their first period. They were also given the “Sirona First Period Kit” which included all products they may need for their first period.
This project is the first of its kind in India. A "Menstrual Cup Helpline" powered by DivinPro was launched to handhold and support all menstruators while they switch to menstrual cups. About 1200 menstruating women in villages around Dehradun, Uttrakhand were given menstrual cups and trained on their use as well.
In partnetship with the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development, Uttarkashi Govt. of Uttrakhand, 1200 women were given menstrual cups, trained on their use and empowered with knowledge around personal and menstrual hygiene. Officials from Police and Education Department of Uttarkashi were also part of the project.
Police women due to their long working hours and at places will less or no accessibility to toilets, have a difficult time during periods. To ease their burden and to repay our debt of gratitude to them, we provided them with menstrual cups and trained them on their use so that they too could experience safe and hygienic periods.
